Semi permanent Make-Up

Semi permanent make up is now a very popular procedure producing some fantastic results. When many people think of semi permanent make up, they think of distinctive lip liner and heavily tattooed eyebrows but this is no longer the case; new techniques mean that natural, soft lines can be created to enhance chosen areas. New effects and artistry can make a huge difference to the results of semi permanent make up, for example, a feathering technique can now be used on eyebrows to create the appearance of natural hairs.

It is suitable for men and woman and can be used for;

  • Top eyeliner
  • Eyebrows
  • Lower Eyeliner
  • Eyelash Enhancement
  • Lipliner
  • Lip Blush
  • Lip Extensions
  • Full Lip Colour
  • Beauty Spot/freckles
  • Areola darkening/repigmenting and scar camouflage
  • Areola Creation after cancer
  • Scars and Burns revision and camouflage
  • Hair Transplant camouflage
  • Vitiligo camouflage

Semi permanent makeup is the application of permanent pigments, made of pure, inorganic minerals to the skin. A patient's chosen colours are deposited into the dermal layer (the lower layer) of the skin and will stay there for around 5 years, although, these colours can start to fade after 3 years. Professionals recommend that patients have touch-up sessions once a year to keep their look fresh. The product contains no fragrances or emollients and is hypo-allergenic.

Although everyone has a different pain threshold, this procedure has been described by many as uncomfortable rather than painful. In order to ease discomfort, an anaesthetic cream will also be applied to the area being treated.

After patients have undergone this procedure, they may experience some minor swelling or redness of the treated area but this will reduce quickly. At first the colour of the treated area will be slightly darker and may stand out more than anticipated but exact lines will soften and fade over the next few days. Patients may also experience some flaking of the area following treatment which is very normal during the healing process.

Cost:

Prices start from £200 depending on the area being treated.
